Hats by the backdoor.
They all fit but the one on the left is the best grandma hat.
Yes?
And the vineyard sleeps in the evening sunshine unaware of the busyness just above. Nature knows no impatience or aching feet.
And Bella’s leisure is about to have a rude awakening.
One I am sure she will adore!
KIDS!!!
There will be lots of this mess and those smiles.
Many many miles driven around the browning “lawn” of meadow grass. Another story… and last summer late.
And besides the playing and lawn-scalping and hugging and laughing, I hope to have plenty of this too. When this was taken, there were only 3. Now there’s one more… I will grow an extra arm and patience in the interim. And an extra grandparent! Namely he who is
“the best grandpa ever!”
I shall return when I can gather myself together again after they have gone. That is always difficult with so many miles and time in between. Tho now there are 2,000 less miles!
The future is as bright as those eyes and his painting…

Good morning Linda~
This post put a HUGE smile on my face!
What stunning photos! That first one of your hats is gorgeous. Love the sepia tone. And I can see why that hat is your favorite – it’s got such a great lived-in and comfortable look to it.
Adorable pics of your grandchildren! I bet you’re so excited to see them again, and them you! And I also bet Bella is going to LOVE having them around.
Have a wonderful time, dear friend! Looking forward to reading all about it!
((((( You )))))

What a wonderful post! And to me the most valuable time now is the time that I spend with my 3 y.o. grandson. To see the world through his eyes and follow his logic is incredible!
BTW, I like the hat with flower so much!
I love the group photo of the four of them at the top but just as good is the wonderful picture of what looks to be a wild tractor ride is just as good – only missing the tiny bright eyed toddler on grandpa’s shoulders to make it perfect. I’m delighted they’ll be home with you soon and I bet Bella will be thrilled as well.
You wear all your hats with great panache.
Much love xoxoxo
Adorable, happy smiles. How lucky that you get to spend these quality days with them. I like the idea of hats but I don’t especially like wearing one; summer or winter.
It is very hot and humid today. I’m glad I got some gardening in earlier in the day before it got too hot.
Thinking of you with love,
G.
Gosh……the BEST grandma hat is whichever one is on your head, silly woman…..
Aren’t they just too adorably cute?!
Lucky you.
Lucky him.
Lucky THEM.
AND they get to ride the tractor…….AND paint!!
<– wants to come play at your house!!!!!!
(way cool…I'm thrilled for you. And I know it'll take an equal amount of time to recuperate back what you spent while they were there….LOL…..ohBOY do I know that one!!)
Enjoy–love lots, play lots, breathe in the energy and let 'em just BE all that they are!!
Catch ya on the flip side!!
