Six Birthdays All in a Row… Oh My

grandchildrenStrange timing, I know. All those birthdays, about 10 if I counted everyone right.

My birthday is the only birthday in the family that is not in the fall  including both my daughters in law.

The upcoming family visit next week will be spent celebrating six of those big days,
among lots of other things.
Like swimming… Yes, we’ll squeeze in even if ALL the water sloshes out!
swimming-time

I’m excited to have the house filled with the early AM squeals of my little darlings again and the bright eyes that wake me at dawn.
🙂

Be back soon, lovies~

  1. Sounds wonderful… 🙂

  2. The wee ones bring joy. Enjoy them.

    • I plan to have a good time and rest as well. I treasure each moment as long as I don’t wear myself out. One of my greatest tests is pacing myself. ♥

  3. Happy Birthday to all. Have a great time with your family. Rlte

    • Thanks so much! I plan to!! It’s good to see you again, Silvia. Apologies I am not around much but have been keeping up with you in my reader and loving your art. You’re an inspiration!! ♥

  4. Oh, that first photo made my heart smile. What a touching moment you captured. And the thought of six (or more) of ya gathering in that pool just made me WANT one! Ohhhhhh….what good fun for big and little people alike.
But TEN back to back to back?! Holy moly….(Happy Birthday to the hubby!)
Looks like….SOUNDS like it’s been awesome to have the kiddos romping around being kiddos. And I laughed at the bit of a nap and peace and quiet made you ready for more. LOL I know the syndrome and that’s just with ONE small person.
So yes please–more of what looks good on you.
(oh, and pass on the GF cake–ditto on the ‘GF and lazy’….ROFL)

You just keep doing whatcher doin’–

Fall. *sigh* Harvest will be soon enough.
    Where HAS the summer gone….

    • Isn’t that the sweetest? One of those precious few that I love and it worked!! I take so many, thank goodness for digital cameras. That pool is from Costco and we got it a couple of springs ago but it’s been the best $100 ever!! Just pack it back in the box when finished! It’s almost 36″ deep too!!

Yes, it’s crazy time from now til the holidays. And expensive too. This year I am having to combine the two for oldest g.son as he wants apple ipod with accessories and so it’s covering both. Not sure he’s going to like that when the time comes but time to learn the value of earning his own money I think. This stuff is too expensive for us farmer-types. 🙂

It’s been so wonderful, Mel. I know you know what I mean! Yes double ditto! I found a mix if you read the last comment I made to this lovely group.

Harvest is coming so fast, fastest in history for us. I keep wanting to post photos of the grapes but haven’t had the time/energy and husband hasn’t downloaded them yet. Grapes looking so ripe so early… weird as it even rained here today. We have “Indian summer” so actually our usual really HOT summer begins about now and goes thru into October. You know CA is wonky!! 🙂

      xxxxoooo

  5. Happy birthday to everyone!! It seems the little ones bring you great joy when they visit – hope you all have a ton of fun, swimming and all . . !!

    • Thank you Mary! And you can bet this grandma has her bathing suit all laid out ready to go. Just need some googles for the splashing that will ensue but I’ll never get around to finding them unless good old Amazon has some. 🙂
      xox

  6. Thank you ladies, for all your kind remarks and well-wishes. I will need them as they give me a little energy and since I didn’t sleep last night-insomniac that I am-I am dragging today wondering what in the world…. I MUST be crazy!!!!! I did discover there’s a decent GF choc. cake mix avail. so I’m using that and then will make lovely white mountain frosting-that big fluffy marshmallow junky one! 🙂 for it so it tastes better than a box mix. I just don’t have the energy for otherwise now.

Busy today with my gardening, planting and planning and watching husband plant. Acquired a new pain med that is a “Medicinal Food” supplement called “Limbrel” that seems to be working well for both of us!! Amazing! I cannot use hardly anything for pain, especially the usual variety, so this is a nice relief “so far”. I hope it lasts. Seems to be a bit snarky about what foods I put with it but i can work out the kinks. Any relief at this point is a good bit of it.

Must be off to dress my weariness. Much love to all! xox I will be checking back in here and probably post a time or two as I plan to have more time to myself this visit-mostly out of sheer necessity. Not so frantic this time, starting to realize that things are indeed different and it’s here to stay after so long putting up with the impossibility of their previous life in Texas. I cannot travel and they couldn’t much with son in school. He is not working and closer-Utah to be specific-and tho it’s a good long ride, they can do it in a day. Anyway must go…. xxxxxxx

    • This should say”
“He is NOW NOW NOW WORKING-YAY!!!!!!” 🙂

      • Hmmmmm…..might haffta investigate the GF cake mix. Though himself came home with a pastry mix the other day that he hopes to fashion a pie with! 🙂 Pumpkin, apple–ohhhhhhhh….perfect time of year for an apple pie! (great….now I want apple pie..LOL)
And YEAH for working son’s who live closer! And for pools and sunshine iPods and goggles and new medicinal food supplements WORKING! Now…all we need is the hubby to upload photos….LOLOLOL Have I ever mentioned I’m a greedy one? 😀
        Happy swimming! And happy celebrating!!

        • it is? you must have different apples that we do here. other than gravs, there’s not much in just now. local anyway… i am going to make this mix and see… i don’t have to eat it and the kid apparently like it so i’m good with that. yeah close but not too close. i wanted them to settle in CA but it’s really too expensive to buy a home like they got where they are. so… it’s good. they’re on their way out early tomorrow. YAY! 😉

          xoxox

  7. Happy Birthdays! Such a sweet photo the first one – and the second lovely…have a great time!
