Bonnets by the Backdoor

Grandmas Hats

Not your typical “Easter bonnet” but far more to my liking!

Hoping your day is filled with all things delightfully Spring!

Oh, Spring! I want to go out and feel you and get inspiration. My old things seem dead. I want fresh contacts, more vital searching. ~Emily Carr

  1. I love my hats too. Yours looks fetching.

  2. Beautiful bonnets and poetry. Have a great Easter. Xoxo

  3. Beautiful, beautiful! Hope you are having a lovely Easter! Here we have the warmest and sunniest ever.

  4. Love this!! So spring like!

  5. I love hats!!! They keep me warm in the winter, cool in the summer, dry when it rains, and always there to take me on an adventure! 🙂

  6. Love it Linda – country style at its best!

  7. Belated Happy Easter, my friend ♡

    • And the same to you, sweet Susan. I hope you had a lovely weekend! Apologies i’ve been offline for several days. i’ve missed your posts, i’m sure. i’ll be getting in gear now that things have calmed down here and i’ve had a couple days of resting and cleaning up around here. (well, sort of cleaning up-it’d take a crew to really get it clean at this point!)

  8. I love the photos. The flowers look amazing, and the hats….priceless. I gave most of my hats away, which is just as well since himself informed me I looked ‘older and more tied’ in them. Mostly they were bought for another time, for the situation. I think I habe one baseball cap and one straw hat. Might wear ’em twice in a year. LOL. Hardley any use for ’em. I forget to grab one when we’re out for an adventure. Okay, that might be deliberate since he told me I looked old. LOL!!

    • well, ahem. i’ll admit that farmer wouldn’t dare say that to me unless i begged him to tell me how i looked, which i NEVER do! haha, maybe a good thing. i am soooo wise it’s simply astounding me.

also you must remember where i live-on top of a hot hill in california… the sun shines much of the time even if it’s cold and i squint continually even in my house with all the bloody windows i put into this house. had i known it was going to be sooo glaring up here, i’d have adjusted that one. anyway, the hats are everywhere, at most doorways, in the car, outside in some chair or the garden or the grass or the fence post or or or… i’ve even found then in the barn where it’s quite dark.

and i’ve had strange things removed from my skin in my younger years thus i ‘try’ to stay out of the sun, even tho it’s impossible to do really. i so need to see a good dermatologist and get the black light treatment but haven’t done so. gonna drag in husband with me as he’s got a very fair-skinned nose that has keratosis and he doesn’t ever seem to “find the time” to go. told him he’d look funny without a nose… :-/

that got his attention so we’ll be going one of these days now… xoxox
