Synesthesia Skies Over Horses Blue~Almost Finished

“Find a place inside where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.” ~Joseph Campbell

I‘ve been pondering paths of health thus the inevitable decline of such. Though my story I have written many times, always things change, shift, surprise, causing me to wake up, if only for a glimpse unseen in the noble act of being on the path.

My path disappears if I just stop thinking about it. Free in the moment, arising with the sun, setting without thinking where to go to bed…

Mindfulness is both struggle and cure… peace wavers in the silence between. Thoughts, like clouds on the horizon blur sky’s vastness; such are my thoughts. Sun rises each day, casting shade a bit longer across the windows, grass and walls… Cooling in the late afternoons.

When I stop thinking, simply be… The wind blows softly as bees farm lavender and sage.

  1. A beautiful painting. Very free. I have found that drawing, painting stops thinking. My greatest health aid. Much love to you L’Adelaide.

  2. powerfully beautiful and real

  3. a gentle hug to you as you complete this gorgeous painting. May the time out of time bring you peace.

    • dearest joss, thank you so much. i was in tears today reading black elk’s prayer and left a comment over on your site but seems WP(infinitely wise….) may have eaten it so will return since i desire to print that. black elk is one of my favorites, his words always ring true as the land to me is life itself, nature so important…. thank you for sharing it today and thank you for your loving and gently wise words of wisdom.

  4. I never did dream of your horses. Glad you are still dreaming of them!

    • Well, there’s still time to dream of them, for them to take you for a wander out into the stars…. i’m still painting them, have no idea why at all except i need freedom and my body is holding me pinned to the spot. Ah well, i guess i could use it as meat for the meditation i do, dancing in the charnnel grounds!! 🙂

  5. Absolutely lovely. However, I just noticed the very bright wild horse head on the side bar. I LOOOOVVVEEE that one!!!!

    Sephi

    • Hi Sephi! Good to see you here in my neck of the woods. That little gouache in the sidebar is called ‘deer in trees’. i will soon be selling prints on artspan, once i get my photos sorted out to upload and he will be one of them if you’re interested. He was so much fun to paint and is 12″ square. I’ve been thinking of painting another one similar to him but of a spotted horse and would be open to selling the original if you’d like. You know where to find me!

      take care of you…

  6. So good to see you’re still painting, one of these days I need to purchase some of your work. Sending happiness to you my dear friend. Always B.

    • Good evening Benjamin… so nice to see you over here, it’s been some time since that’s happened. i thought maybe you weren’t blogging much anymore but maybe you dropped off my reader again…. sending happiness and peace right back to you, my dear. xxx
