I have heard these words before….

“I will try to fix you…”

The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don’t wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.

  1. We all do a lot of suffering but it is optional. It’s just that is is not easy to locate the OFF button. Beautifully and haunting portrait.

Good morning Gretchen! Yes,the disappearing OFF switch! 🙃 I lose mine often enough but life is what it is and change is part of it. And a cause of suffering…. I managed to switch me off but it took a couple of months!! A wee bit stubborn I believe. Thank you for your wise words today. I’m happy to see you if only in my mind! 😘

  2. I never cared for that fix you song… but. I went to a funeral of a woman in her early 40’s and her husband who was in his late 20’s played it. We all cried because he knew she was terminal when he married her and it was just… wrenching. I still don’t like it but I won’t forget that day.

Well, I love Coldplay in general, their music. However I tend to get my hackles up when anyone thinks they can “fix” me, especially easily. It seems quite egotistical and stupid. Maybe it’s something of my generation and all those bra burners, who knows!! 😉

Terribly sad story about your friends. Definitely wrenching is a good word for it. Really dear yet amazingly heartbreaking, to think of the pain, suffering and deep love they felt for each other.

      xoxo be well you!
