Farmer was busy with his chain saw and hedge trimmer, pruning some huge grass plants. He'd made quick work of one as tall as him when suddenly he spied something that sent him squealing back on his heels!

I was distracted and irritated. BUSY.
Struggling with the fruitless task of forcing a long desk to fit into the mud room at the foot of the stairs leading up to my studio. Frustrated and tired, I glanced outside to the fields beyond. There lay sleeping a not-so-little fawn right outside the backdoor.

I had fun painting these visitors to my garden a few years ago. They came into the courtyard to enjoy my newly blooming roses as if they owned the place! Sophie would be very indignant at this LARGE intrusion on her territory.

Most I keep and put back out in spring. Yesterday I found one in the garage on top of the garage door opener! Talk about disturbing the peace!
