
Oak Trees Reach
The Coast Live Oak trees reach down to drink from a natural spring of clear, cold water. Look closely at the photo. The light shining in the middle is a lovely little pond and even in midsummer, it is moving and cold. Many forms of wildlife come to drink throughout the day and night. Mother Earth offers her cooling water trickling from deep below.

These trees were the inspiration for my big Rainbow Oak painting. I realize that to paint trees such as these, is not within my grasp but I can paint what I see within the tree. I hoped to do it justice.

Adopt the pace of nature… her secret is patience.
